Our Story
Rustic-Craft is a newly formed company.
After many years of working in the construction industry I (Sandy) have realised that my real passion is crafting with wood.
Rustic craft was recently formed from a desire to return to a period of my younger life and love of working with wood and artwork.
When I was an apprentice cabinet maker in Rosyth Royal Dockyard, I was asked to make a marquetry gift for her majesty the Queen`s silver jubilee. I was given the honour of presenting this gift to H.M.
From then I was asked to make several other gifts for distinguished people. I enjoyed this immensely.
Add A Personal Touch
Since leaving the Dockyard in 1983 I have been self-employed in the construction industry whilst raising my family and have recently decided to do what I love best, craftwork.
My wife has also joined this conquest as she is also very talented in craftwork.
We work from our workshop in the heart of inspiring big tree country, Dunkeld Perthshire.
We will consider any commission to produce a bespoke item or you can buy from our range of hand-crafted products with the knowledge that these items will be limited additions.
